The Flyers in 1974 set an NHL record for the most penalty minutes by a team in a season. ON Friday night, March 5th, they set two more records. 419 penalty minutes in a single game - both teams. And 213 penalty minutes in a single game for just the Flyers. These mostly in the last two minutes of the third period, in a game that ended with teams skating 4 on 4 and only 3 players on each team's bench. The rest had been sent to the locker rooms. Comcast Sports Net in Philadelphia is replaying this game in its entirety on Wednesday, March 10th, at 7:00 PM. I know I'm gonna be watching it. And I'd be willing to wager that JBG will be watching it too

That's all you really had to see, the last 1:45 of the third period. That was the fun part (-: But having watched the game again, it was an AWESOME game from start to finish. The 7 hours of penalties at the end were just the icing on the cake. A big thick layer of icing on a cupcake
