It's been a while since I've done a news update. Too long if you ask me. But here's what's going on:
WGLS Radio Show - On April 1st, we went into the WGLS studio for an interview and on-air acoustic performance. Since then, I've broken up the entire interview and music into 11 separate files, and I'm planning on putting them on CD as a demo that we'll hand out for free at shows. The CD will include the interviews, the two songs that Kevin of Locals Only played off our recent CDs, and the two songs that Justin and I played in the studio. And again, we'll be handing these out at shows for FREE. So make sure you come to one of our shows, say, the next one, and pick one up.
The next show is on Sunday, April 11th at the Ground Floor in Newark, DE. I'm not sure what time we go on or what other bands are playing, but I'll find out and update our shows page ASAP. But the main show starts at 6 PM, and it's $7 for under-21 or $5 for 21+. Yeah, we'll be handing out the free demo, and we'll also have some of the new EP on hand.
After that, it's Thursday, April 15th at the Pirate's Den in Gloucester City with an all-401 Records lineup: Brokenfixed, The Positives, and The Scandals. That's sure to be a good time. I was kinda hoping 401 Records would have their banner ready for the show, but I guess that will have to wait until next time.
And then it's April 16th at our home base, Brenner's Brew in Bridgeton. With us will be fellow 401 Records band Alternix with their first-ever live show! Check this punk band of 14 year-olds out, they're fucking AWESOME. Also that night: Slamhound. We've had a show with them before, they're unique in so many ways it's not even funny.
So why have I been so busy? Well, Lake Studios has been recording a lot of bands lately. That's been taking up a huge amount of my time. But last night I handed Grayscale their CDs, and I got a good night's sleep, so I'm finally getting some updates up.
And what about the new album? It's all written, and waiting to be recorded. I think...hmm...yeah I think we'll record it at Lake Studios. I know someone who works there. But once we wrap up our insane live schedule at the end of this month, we'll be in the rehearsal studio working on the new material, getting it ready to be recorded, refining it, and what not. Then this Summer, we'll record the beast and hopefully it will be out by the end of the Summer. That will be sweet.
So anyway, that's what's going on with us.
What's new with you?
