Band Swap #1
It's been a while since I posted any news. That's because there's nothing to report. We haven't gotten together since the last show, April 18th. But we're getting together on the 3rd at Brenner's Brew for the first-ever (hopefully) monthly meeting called the Band Swap. We'll be meeting every first Saturday of the month from 1:00 PM to whenever we're tired of looking at each other. Here's the itinerary for the meeting, as it stands now:
1:00 - come together, settle in
1:10 - Roll call, introductions (a paper will be passed around to sign in with your email address so we can send out a transcript of the meeting)
1:30 - Announcements of upcoming shows/events
1:45 - main topic - This month, the main topic will be Building a Press Kit for Your Band, presented by Bret Walker of Max the Dork.
2:30 - Q & A, on anything at all
3:00 - hang out, maybe even a jam session (bring acoustic instruments)
These times are not set in concrete, and in fact, we'll more than likely get to the end well before 3:00. But we've never done this before so we have no idea what the time frames will be.
Bret's Birthday
Bret is turning *cough* 34 *cough* on Sunday, May 4th. We're having a party at his house, and MtD and Rusty Sweater will probably kick off a couple jams during the festivities.
