Anniversary

I'm terrible at remembering anniversaries. Even my own. Well, March 2nd was a double anniversary for Max the Dork. It was the second anniversary of the first ever live performance of Max the Dork (at the Orient Espresso in Pitman, NJ, March 2, 2001). It is also the first anniversary of the first ever radio broadcast of a Max the Dork song (on KPSU - Portland State University Radio, March 2, 2002). So happy anniversary to us. It's been a fun couple of years. ;D

Women's History Month

March is Women's History Month, so why not honor women everywhere today by downloading Max the Dork's cover of Hellen Reddy's anthem of strength and pride, I Am Woman. We'll be playing it live at our one and only show this month, which is March 21st at Brenner's Brew. Power to the sisters, yo! ;D

I'm part Korean, and I seem to remember you making comments about Gooks a while back. The fact that you were talking about Thai's has nothing to do with it, and I don't care anyway. Also, I don't hate anyone. There's a lot of people I dislike for one reason or another, but hatred is too strong an emotion to be wasted on people who couldn't give a damn what you think about them. Also, I've always felt that hatred is a cancer, it eats you from the inside out, and eventually you wear it on your face like a burn scar. It's just ugly.

It's all good, I don't want to empower the word Gook any more than the word nincompoop's been already empowered. I usually take the Gook reference with a grain of salt and a good sense of humor. I tend to catch people off guard since I don't look asian at all, but people can be most apologetic when they find out what my heritage is. I don't need apologies, but it's nice to know how people will talk about you behind your back.

That guy now has a dameged heart and will die before his 30th birthday just because of those Thai's.
