Friday's Show
First of all, I want to state that I'm sorry I didn't post this on Saturday, but despite the fact that I have a new case and motherboard, my PC is still giving me fits. I almost had the whole update typed out on Saturday morning, and then the goddamn thing bluescreened on me. So here I am at work, and you couldn't care less so here goes the actuall thing.
Friday's show was awesome. 1020 was a little late getting there, but that's understandable considering they were coming from New Brunswick. They put on a helluva show, they're certainly a good band to see live. So if you ever get a chance to see them, do it. I promise you won't be disappointed.
MtD took the stage at about 9:15 PM, a little late, but better late than never I always say. I have to say, and many people said after the show, that the set was tight as hell. We certainly made a lot of new fans, but we also had a large contingent of MtD fans out in force. It was nice to see so many people out to see us. We got a lot of positive comments, particularly about our cover of "Angry Inch" which seems to be a crowd favorite anymore. Musically, we were a lot more together than we were last Sunday, and despite the fact that I was still sick (when will this damn cold leave me be?) my voice was a lot better than it was on Sunday also. Altogether, it was a very good high-energy show. We were pleased.
Syphin took the stage after us, and as per usual, they really rocked the house. Justin seems to be loosening up on bass, as he was jumping around and throwing himself into the performance full bore. I liked the acoustic number that they played also, it was very cool. They're an excellent band and I never get tired of seeing them. Luckily, we do a lot of shows with them so we get to see them for free a lot. ;D
So that was Friday. Thanks again to everyone who came out. We're taking three weeks off now and will return to Brenner's Brew on the 21st of March. That show promises to be huge, with out of state bands Honest Disaster from Buffalo, The Hint from DC, and Spenser from Cleveland. We've played with Spenser before but this is our first time playing with The Hint and Honest Disaster. The festivities start at 7:30, and the venue will definitely fill up so make sure to get there early! We'll have CDs and tapes for sale cheap. Hope to see you then!
