Yes, the rumors are true, and so is the News page. I have joined a band called Fuck Souls, a goth-metal band from Pitman, NJ. I'm playing the drums for this band, and right now my hands feel like raw meat, mostly because I haven't played the drums in about 10 years.
I am not giving up on Max the Dork. In fact, Fuck Souls are going to be playing a couple MtD songs in our set. We are rehearsing right now for our live performance which is scheduled for June 1 at Full Circle Records in Blackwood, NJ. After the show, we'll probably get into the studio to record some of the songs. You can visit the MP3.com site to get an idea of what kind of music we play, but I'm not playing on any of the songs online, not yet anyway. We decided last night that we were going to re-record the songs so that the present incarnation of the band (which has seen numerous personnel changes over the years) is actually performing the songs. I'm told that the three of us work better together than any previous version of the band, so I can see why they're so excited to have me on board.
So anyway, I just wanted to address any questions you might have for the future of Max the Dork. It's not going to disappear, I've put too much time and energy into it. But for now it's a side project. I'm also still planning on finishing and releasing Crapital Punishment, although the release may be later in the year than originally planned.
All future news about Fuck Souls will be going in the Music Establishment forum.
