If you were looking at a message earlier today, it's because Proboards, the bulletin board system that hosts the Max Forum, was upgraded today to version 2. It seems to be working fine, but if you encounter any problems, let me know by emailing me at bret@maxthedork.com, and I'll see if I can't find a solution for ya. As for what they changed, it's some cosmetic stuff and some functionality that they added, mostly for the administrative side. In other words, I don't know. I'm gonna poke around a bit. ;D |

Water under the bridge. Ducks are swimming in it. Some little kid is fishing with his father. Suddenly a huge catfish takes the kid's line and yanks him in. The kid is sucked under the rushing water of the dam. The father is frantic. He reaches for his cellphone but drops it into the water. He dives in after his child, but underestimates the force of the water and is sucked under as well. Passersby begin to collect on the bridge. The rescue team finally shows up, and the child and his father have been underwater for over an hour now. They send in divers. Two more hours go by. The divers emerge from the water shaking their heads. The cops notify the mother/wife of the victims. She falls to her knees. She rushes back into the house and hangs herself. It's an altogether sad day. And you were worried about the boards being down for like six hours? How petty is that?  |
