Hey, I have a couple of updates.

First, in the Max Forum, some changes, some additions. The Max the Dork forum is now the MtD news forum only. That means that only moderators can post there, because it's strictly for MtD news. But anyone who's a member of the BBS can post a reply to a news item there. The additions? Well, Lost and DeadSky are our new moderators. Lost is moderator of both the MtD forum and the !!! forum, while DeadSky is moderating the !!! forum. Lost will probably be moving some non MtD news threads to the !!! forum where they belong.

Over the weekend I recorded four songs for Crapital Punishment, and then I ran into a conundrum. One of the songs, Chester, came out sounding like a heavy metal song, not a punk song. And it really doesn't fit in with all the other Max the Dork songs. So guess what? It's not a Max the Dork song, it's a Bret Walker song, and I'm putting it on the Downloads page. I uploaded it to the server already, so you can download it, but I didn't link it on the Downloads page yet. Just click here if you wanna hear it. I like the song, don't get me wrong. I like it a lot. I just don't think it belongs on the album. So I'm giving it to you for free, because I'm such a nice guy.

The other three songs that were recorded this weekend are Ode to Ed, Loner (which some of you got to hear, because the song "leaked," and so far the response has been tremendous!), and Got Lucky, which will be the obligatory instrumental on Crapital Punishment. Got Lucky is my favorite instrumental to date, because it's a lot of fun; it's very upbeat as opposed to the previous two instrumentals.

All the MtD forum moves have been made. Just for future reference:

1. Only moderators can start a thread in the Max the Dork forum. This forum is for MtD news only. If you have something to discuss that doesn't fall into the other categories, post it in the !!! forum.

2. Generally, whatever news item gets put on the News page is reproduced here for you to comment on. I don't have an automatic device in place where when I post in one it shows up on the other, not yet anyway, so there may be a little delay between when you see it on one and then see it on the other. For the most part I'll be posting them on the Max Forum first, so I can make a link on the News page to the forum post.

3. There is a shitload of new posts in the !!! forum, and they go back to February 7, which is the day that this forum opened. Unfortunately, I can't figure out a way to re-sort the forum so that those posts go to the end. If I figure it out, I will do something about it. But otherwise, just deal with it.

Basically, I asked him to do that forum since he's so in touch with the music world and posts the best music news. ;D
