Site Changes
I made a few changes to the site. You may have noticed. It all started the last time I put up a news update, and I tried to upload the South Park Max the Dork picture, and I was told that I was out of space on my host server. Shit. Now, I get a good fucking deal from Ready Hosting. For $99 a year, I get my domain registration, 500MB web space, unlimited bandwidth allocation and unlimited email addresses. I have yet to find a better deal than that. Now, 500MB, that's half a gig, which in Web terms is pretty fucking huge. HOWEVER, I also host a website for JBG, MP3s for Syphin, and videos (that's the killer) for UltraViolent Wrestling. That's a lot of overhead. While I don't mind doing all that, it has cut into my own personal web space.
So over the past few days I cleaned up the site, deleted all the stupid images that had nothing to do with MtD (stuff I'd put up so I could post an image on a BBS somewhere), and I also deleted all the MP3s and Real Audio files for songs that can be found at my MP3.com site. Wherever there was a link to a Real Audio file or MP3 that was duplicated on my MP3.com site, I changed the link to go to the MP3.com page for the song. Fair enough? Sure! And besides, it's much cleaner this way, less overhead, more fun. Something like that.
I also changed the Downloads page, took off the stupid ranking system. Goddamn that was a pain in the sack. From now on the songs will be from top to bottom in order of their release date, recent to earliest. Something like that. Also, I uploaded three new Buddy Icons in the Band section. Three new Girlband icons. Because I've been ignoring them way too much lately. They rock solid.
Rehearsal Cam
I still need to gather information on Tony and Matt for a band bio section. We're due for a rehearsal tomorrow around Noon, so check out the Rehearsal Cam tomorrow around that time. Also, pop into chat, we should be on during rehearsal. Or at least, we'll have someone on, probably one of our roadies (Tigger or Dangerous Dave).
