I have to say that I believe, but I think that everyone down here has the whole concept of God very wrong. Religions as a whole are manipulative and serve only the people who run them, while portraying an outward appearance of service to "God" of some sort. I also think that anyone who hates or kills in the name of "God" is only fooling themselves. Anyone can do something they want because they want to do it, and to say that it's God's will. Athletes who win games and say that God was on their side, they're the worst. Do you honestly think that God gives a shit about the outcome of a sporting event? Get real.
Anyway, yes I believe in God, but I don't know if He believes in us.

I hate people who succeed at thing (sporting events mentioned above) and give the credit to god. Give yourself credit cocksucker, you're the one who prevailed and all that gobbeldy goop.

i can see why some people do it, though, i mean, they feel it's a god given talent.

Talent without effort is ineptitude. God may give you the talent, but if you don't do anything with it, you may as well not have it at all. What's wrong with taking credit for your accomplishments? People act as if they had nothing to do with their own greatness.

oh i agree.
you can have the talent and not do shit with it, but what would the point of god giving it to you if you don't develop it? or you can have no talent and just work your ass till you can pass at it.
i dunno. i was just saying that that's probably why. and amuses me, in that respect, is have you ever noticed on award shows (and i now you have bratley) is that the majority of those who thank god are african american?

And by majority you mean about 99 out of 100 award recipients who thank God are African American. That's very true. However, I think White people are just too shallow to be that devout. It has nothing to do with what I said before about taking credit for your own greatness.

They also like to pray when they catch balls and run into painted rectangles on long fields. Go figure.

I was looking for The Mole's speech about God from South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut, but all I could find was this:
Kyle: Hey, Mole, be careful. Mole: Careful? Was my mother careful when she stabbed me in the heart with a clothes hanger while I was still in the womb? Stan: Man, that kid is fucked up!
