www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/04/13/corzine.crash.ap/index.htmlNow, I voted for this guy, but how much of a jackass is he that he doesn't wear his goddamn seatbelt in a state (of which he's governor) that has seatbelt laws. Hell, are there ANY states in the union that DON'T have seatbelt laws at this point? Regardless, he should have been wearing a goddamn seatbelt. And there was a STATE TROOPER driving the goddamn SUV! Why wasn't he writing the good governor a fucking ticket??? What the hell is going on in this state??? Alright enough silly shenanigans. I hope he gets better soon, because I'm tired of Richard Cody acting like the governor.

From the article: Corzine was the third straight New Jersey governor to break a leg while in office. McGreevey broke his left leg in 2002 during a nighttime walk on the beach, and Christie Whitman broke her right leg while skiing in the Swiss Alps in 1999.
OMFG CONSPIRACY!!!!

Update: Corzine is out of the hospital now, and he DID in fact voluntarily pay the $46 fine for not wearing a seatbelt.
I don't know if the state trooper that was driving (apparently he ws doing 90+ MPH) has been cited or has to pay a fine. It's time to take the lawmakers and enforcers to task when they break the very laws they're sworn to uphold. I mean, it's not like there was an emergency or anything. Did the trooper really need to be driving over 90 on a road where the posted speed limit is 65? Couldn't he just do 75 like everyone else? Oh no, he had to get the Gov. back to Princeton to preside over a meeting between the Rutgers girls' basketball team and Don frickin' Imus. W/E.
