Read This ArticleAs I see it, there are several benefits to Capitalism and free trade. First of all, in a Capitalistic society where companies are free to do as they wish, they compete against each other. Competition drives progress and deflation of prices. In the end it's the consumer that wins, jobs are created when companies grow, more competition drives more progress, and society finds itself advancing. However, most people these days are against this kind of free trade. They think that competition does nothing but produce victims who cannot keep up with the larger companies. That may be so, but in a free society it's the company that produces the best product at the lowest price that wins. So ask yourself, would you rather see a mom and pop shop survive at the detriment of society as a whole, or would you rather see technical advancements beyond your wildest dreams in your own lifetime?
