Serbian Prime Minister AssassinatedZoran Djindjic was a key player in the overthrowing of Slobodan Milosovic, and was not a very popular person among the Serb Mafiosi who were suffering under the democratic shift engineered by Djindjic. It's suspected that the two men arrested in his assassination are tied to the Serb Mafiosi, and I wouldn't be surprised in the least. There was an attempt made on his life a few weeks ago also when a truck pulled in front of his motorcade. The man driving the truck was arrested and detained. I have no idea how this is going to affect the democratization of Serbia and Montenegro (the former Yugoslavia), but it does not bode well, and I'll be very interested to see what happens in the days following this tragedy.
