Bush may send 500-1,000 troops to LiberiaWhy? Can someone tell me that? Why do we need to send troops to some third-world country to keep the peace during a cease-fire in their fourteen year civil war? Why do we need to send OUR soldiers to a foreign land to protect THEIR interests. First of all, I'm sure they don't want us there. Second of all, WHAT BUSINESS IS IT OF OURS? It's shit like this that makes other countries hate us. Hate the player, not the game, that's all I can say. This is NOT my doing. I don't want our troops in Liberia any more than they want to be there, or any more than the Liberians want us there. Yes it's true, Liberia was set up as a colony by the US after the slaves were freed, as a sort of sanctuary for lack of a better word, to allow freed slaves to have their own nation. But our interests in that country ended 150 years ago. They're no more our responsibility than we are the responsibility of Britain. I feel sick. Someone please wake me when this is all over.

Why ? Becuase BUSH wants to be known as a hero . And since the last war didnt work out , hes going to keep trying till he gets it right. But he wont. And if he gets re-elected , somebody will get shot.
*edit* After i read it i seen this :
The White House official line is that Taylor should leave now and face a war crimes trial later. But Bush used different language Wednesday regarding Taylor, saying simply that he should leave the country.
Why do we keep telling them to go into hiding? How stupid is that?
