First, read this article. It describes how 13 women have been sitting in redwood trees to prevent the logging industry from oldgrowth logging. Which is all well and good. I'm all for civil disobediance. And hey, if you can sit in a tree for five months on end, more power to you. Ladies, I salute you. However, it brings to mind the question: why women? I mean, why does it take 13 women to perform this act of heroism, courage and conviction? Where are the men? Guys, these chicks are showing us up but good. And good for them, too! But every man who ever had a chance to sit in a tree for months at a time and passed it up, myself included, ought to be ashamed of themselves for not doing their part to protect the environment. They ought to take these women's example and their lead. I say, let's all move into the trees and protect them. Not really. I know I couldn't do it. But I'm eternally grateful to these women for doing it for me. By the way, one of the women in question is a friend of a friend. She's the one they call Wren. I read this article from my friend Andrea, so go visit her site. ;D

The point is you can never leave the treehouse. If you do, they cut down the tree. After five months or so I'd go seriously stir crazy. I'd need at least two dozen books, a gameboy and my accoustic guitar. ;D
And at least half of the books would have to be of the pr0n variety.
Also, tissues. A large supply of tissues.
