After the big American circle jerk that was the Superbowl pre-game and halftime show, I have to tell you, I'da been disappointed if the Patriots hadn't won. It was inevitable. If the Rams had won, there woulda been this big let down. This country was founded by underdogs. Regular guys who had to fight and claw their way to freedom and a better way of life. And after we won our independence, we split ourselves asunder to fight over the independence of an entire people. Even when the African American population had been given their emancipation, they (and anyone who wasn't a male WASP) had to fight for every inch of freedom they were able to scrape up. Then there I was on Sunday night, watching Barry Manilow playing dueling voiceboxes with Patti Labelle, while red-white-and-blue people ran all over the astroturf floor of the Superdome. Watching as an Irish band sang a tribute to America while the names of the September 11th fallen scrolled by on a huge backdrop. Excuse me? What the bloody fuck? You know, I think patriotism and Americanism is fine and dandy, but Jesus Fucking Christ, it's only a fucking football game! Personally, I thought U2 and the US shoulda got a frickin room. And besides, the commercials sucked this year.

yea, you tell 'em! there was something seriously wrong with all that bullshit. patriotism has been taken to a new low.. ok everyone, jump on the band wagon! time to go fuck america with our pride and our colors... even if it took terrorists attacking something some people never really liked anyway...
really, what the fuck is wrong with the majority of the population?
however, as far as the commercials go.. i LOVED the one with the M&M and the hotel bed.. that was great
