Sheehan, three others, convicted of trespassingWhen Cindy Sheehan (one of the more vocal protesters against the Iraq war) attempted to present a petition with 72,000 signatures to the US Mission to the United Nations and its representative Peggy Kerry (sister of Massachusetts senator John Kerry), shen and about a hundred others were arrested. Peggy Kerry said she thought it was a publicity stunt. Whatever. Sheehan has been a vocal opponent of the war since before her son Casey was killed in 2004, and is probably best known as the woman who camped in front of the Bush ranch in protest of the war. I for one am surprised that Kerry has not been more supportive of Sheehan's cause. She did, after all, meet with the Women Say No To War group in 2005 under similar circumstances. I guess she's had a change of heart.
